Gil got back last week from his training in California. Shortly after he got back he went on leave, so we took advantage of that; we put Kai in a boarding place with her friend
Meka (whose parents were also going on vacation,) and jetted off to Maui. Here is a view from our room

The best way to explain it is that it was the best vacation I have ever been on. We stayed at the Grand
Wailea Resort and Spa. We did nothing but relax all weekend long.
Our weekend started off with a bang! Saturday morning we headed to the spa which apparently is the best spa not only in Hawaii but the south Pacific (...don't know how we are going to beat that!)
Amazing doesn't even begin to explain how great the spa was! An hour before our couples massage we had access to all different types of water therapy; roman baths, aromatherapy baths, waterfall massages, saunas and steam rooms. We then had our full body massage; which was indescribable! We left agreeing that we definitely have to do this more often. We have decided when he gets back we want to go to Vegas and go to a spa while we are there.

The only other planned event we had was golfing on Sunday. I made a tee time for Gil and I rode along with him. The course was beautiful and they really take care of their customers. The golf carts were all decked out with a
GPS system in them (informing you how far the hole is as well as any sand traps or water hazards) and a cooler with ice and two bottles of water. The
GPS also gave you information about the hole and kept your score for you. We ended up joining these other two golfers who were all spiffed out; afterwards we found out that they are pro golfers from the other side of Maui.

Our GPS/Scorecard! It also had a sports ticker at the bottom.
Also on our way out back to the hotel a man answered his cell phone and said, "Hello, Mr. President, it is so great to hear from you again." Now, I don't know about you but I don't know any one who refers to any body but the President of the United States as Mr. President. I was super excited! So in my mind and my story he was talking to the president. On top of the pro golfers and the Mr. President guy we had dinner at the table next to a woman who is best friends with the wife of a coach for either the
Lakers or Utah Jazz...I think. Yeah, we were rolling with the high rollers. It was crazy. I really enjoyed it. Gil just thought I was funny.

Hanging by the pool
Between the spa and golfing we lounged by the pool, reading or making our rounds of the different pools. Their pools were amazing. There were two different levels connected by the only water elevator in the world. All the pools are connected by different slides and there is a currant that pushes you between the different slides and pools. There was also a swim up bar, grotto and hot tubs.

One of the many pools. To the right is a slide leading to a pool and in the the far end there is a big slide leading to rapids.
I hope you are all doing well. I have one more post coming, updating on everything that has been going on in March and now April, so stay posted.
