Vegas, Palm Springs and more Vegas

Our week has been filled with a lot of driving and a ton of Christmas fun. We drove to Vegas to pick my parents up and enjoyed an amazing lunch at the Hofbrauhaus. Due to our lunch I finally found a protein that Aubrie will devour, sausage! So since then we have fed her all sorts of sausage, pork, chicken, vegetable. She will eat it all.

On Monday we took a trip to Palm Springs and Palm Desert. We saw the sites and took an awesome tram ride up to the top of a national park. It was cold and covered in snow but was really neat to see all of the valley lite up.

Wednesday, Gil and I drove back to Vegas for one night. Thanks to my parents I was able to gift Gil a night in Vegas which included dinner, a show and gambling. We had an amazing time. We would definitely recommend Cirque du Soleil "O". The day we got back we decorated a village of gingerbread houses. Some turned out a little better then others but we all had fun.

Today we are going on a hike in Joshua Tree National Park and getting super excited for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Popcorn!

This week was full of popcorn. Popcorn for snack and popcorn for garland. Aubrie's new favorite snack is officially...you guessed it, Popcorn! This week we also celebrated Gil's 27th birthday. We had all his favorites, lasagna, Marisol's cherry dessert and of course presents. Gil and I are both looking forward to the present I gave him which was a one night stay in Vegas to see a show and to hit the casinos. It will be our first over night without Aubrie...we will see how it goes. Our plans the weekend include getting the house cleaned and ready for our guests THEN picking up my parents from the airport. I can't wait for their visit.

Fri...Saturday Photo Dump

So Gil had off yesterday and I completely forgot that it was Friday. I feel like we spent the whole day eating and I am not sure why that is. We also spent the day doing Christmas activities, like wrapping presents. We put some presents under the tree when we were done but I had to take them back this morning because Aubrie thought she was allowed to open them. Today we are making popcorn and cranberry garland...hopefully Kai doesn't try to eat it off the tree. As of this week our Christmas shopping is completely done; next up is to clean the guest room and get our Christmas cards out.

Friday Photo Dump

I was very excited that we finally entered December this week. I am extremely excited for this holiday season and I think it has a lot to do with Aubrie being able to take part in it more this year. Also this week we celebrated Aubrie's friend, Makaela's first birthday. We were very happy to be able to celebrate with our friends during this big milestone. The other very exciting thing was Gil was promoted to Captain. We couldn't be more proud of him and I was happy we were there to pin on his new bars. The first of December also brought Christmas decorations with it. The house needs a little more decorating but that requires me to go shopping ;)
